Reaching out to the lost, the least even your seniors,
Giving of yourself to those who continually spit on your good nature,
Trying to make it without compromising on the truth,
Everyone saying you will always lose,
This is being uncomfortable to be comfortable.
Hard conversations about your worth and failures,
Opening cans and cans of worms of your past,
Trauma that has led you down a sinful path,
Confessing your sins to your fellow brothers,
Healing at times requires you to feel judged,
This is being uncomfortable to be comfortable.
Stepping out to unfamiliar phases of life,
Growth is too painful but still worthwhile,
Desiring is the first step but worthless,
You still got to put in the work to truly progress,
This is being uncomfortable to be comfortable.
Waiting on God to do exceedingly,
In reality He wants you to first move from the familiarity,
Open our eyes Lord we pray,
That we may seek lasting comfort instead,
That we may never be the same,
This is being uncomfortable to be comfortable.
