WE WAIT

An hourglass on a calendar captures the essence of time management and urgency.

O God, we can’t bear to feel this way much longer—
Like a whisper lost in laughter,
Like a song unheard.
Unwanted.
Unchosen.

Not one opportunity has knocked,
Not a single one of Your sons has turned our way.
It aches, Lord.
It haunts.

And with every passing year,
The silence deepens.
We feel time carving its story on our skin,
Changing us—
Yet still,
No hand reaches for ours.
No eyes linger.
No love finds us.

Sometimes the lie calls louder:
“Compromise. Settle.
Disobey—just a little.”
But at what cost?

A legacy stained.
A sacred seed sown in soil not meant for harvest.
How could we?
How could we betray the dream
You planted deep within us?

No.
We will not bend.
We will not trade holiness
For fleeting affection.

Because we know You.
We know Your voice.
We know You will come through.

You have done it before.
You are doing it even now—
In silence,
In stillness,
In places we cannot see.

So we wait—
Not with bitterness,
But with faith.

For it is written:
“None who wait on the Lord shall be put to shame.”

We will not be embarrassed.
We will not be forgotten.
We will be crowned.
